Some people sniff at Serendipity but well, we just give them Chinese burns, the boring gits. Eitherway last Sunday’s Almanac felt like all sorts of firsts & realigned stars. First Almanac for our 5th (count them5️⃣) & lully new management team at The George~ Dan, Sam & Liv, our First Sunday playing out in the Garden, A Bank Holiday & a piercingly Sunny 1 at that, loads of Almanac guest djs in ‘resting’/ dancing capacity (Sallie, Matthew, Huw, Joe..)… Chris opened with a flawless Country set & followed it with a 50th anniversary of Woodstock extravaganza. I took the alfresco opportunity to go very woozy, day after the big night before Ibiza, with psychedelic tinges. It was just Lush & all the more so for the company of Jo & Zaki, Martin & Kirsteen, Jane, Matthew & Denise, Huw, Huw & Fransisco & David & Phillip, a full Haus of Le Ford contingent in Tone, Jamie, Chas & his sister Pauline & all in all some of the most exotic hetero/homo man on man, expressive movement any garden in Brighton may ever have seen. A Massive thankyou to all at the George, we’ll be back on September 29th with a long awaited return set from Sallie (yaaaaay) but until then the songs we played were..
