Our April Almanac was always going to be busier but a combination of Sun, a LaHot of Family (in all & every permutation), oldest friends, newest friends, everyone but everyone being friendLY, 3 birthdays & a brace of pitch perfect 90 minute sets from Chris & our guest DJ, my erstwhile brother Harry (Henry Arthur at birth) who demurely asked if he might sit while playing & did & How.. well, it all just Kicked. Off. At 1 point there didn’t appear to be any chair not danced on, or a single hand not in the air. Glorious scenes.

Somehow in 1 room we had the joy of… Anthony & Chas, Huw & Joe, my lovely bro in law Mikey, Frankie & Jax, Simon & Tracie, David & Tina, Matthew & Denise & her Ma Vera, my old school mucker Mark & his wife Christine, his cousin Nickie & husband John, Julia’s riotous & glam birthday gang (deep breath)~ Steve, Liz, Emma, Nina, Mark & Sarah, Rob, Fen, Lisa, Hayley & John. Andy & Doug, James, Chris & his Almanac 1st timer Nick, Nicky & Huw, James & Emy, My cousin Cath, Jim, a sweet, swift cameo from Julie & Dan, Big John, Simone & Emma, Nick & Katie, Dee & Jo, Russell & Andrew, my ol’ Trade muckers~ Loz, Mickey, Maria, Nathaniel, Christian, Jackie & Steve, Agnes, Chris, & an Amazing & sustained shift from Lucy, Luke, lovely new chef Tom & all at the St.George.
