Summer. Summer, Summer, SUMMER. It felt like the 1st Summer Almanac in approximately 87 years. We’d had a verry late 1 playing records for brilliant Hanoverian Bill’s 60th Cavort at the Dover Castle the night before, but nothing could kill our buzz as round 2 at the St. Georges turned into, hands down, 1 of our best, silliest, busiest, still reeling from it now if honest, Almanacs ever. With the kitchen newly revived in the frankly Masterful & Artful hands of Neil ‘Munkeechops’ Parker & an amazing return set by Matthew ‘Lord of the Dance’ Stradling, it was bloody gorgeous to see Mick, Sallie, Gabe, Kav & Tom, Julie & Her Dan!, Steve & Karen, Jonathan, Berke & Helen, Joe & David, Trish & her gents, Andy & DougAndrew & Russell, EmmaSimonne & Jez, Sarah, Ema, Simona, Nicky, and Ivana & a totally unexpected Battalion of my cousins & their families- Genny, Matt & Lilac, Charlie, Sue & Tom, Gabs, Olly & Vivienne, Rich Phillippa, Katherine, Shaun, Sam & Tom. It was all a bit much tbh so we played our most beserk sets yet all overseen by RhysLice, Charlie & all the lovelies at the St. Georges. We’ll be back on Sunday, June the 3rd but until then the songs we played were…
