This could be heaven or this could be hell..

Musings on modern life, the 70's – with music.

Sunday Almanac – January 2018

Our 4th birthday Almanac. Four years. Four years of music & lunches & friends, new friends, old friends, old friends making new friends, Brilliant Guest DJ’s, playlists, DOGS, landlords & landladies, departures, absences, Returns (loads of them this time) dancing, Battles, hysteria, our side, the dark side, All sides, nipping out to the garden for a quick fag, Tuaca (always Tuaca) the Saint Georges our lovely HOME.. oh nostalgia is for fools & we always, Always look forward but, well, 4. Years.

It was always going to be eventful Especially with Andy as our 1st thrice returning guest dj & the 1st Almanac since the Saint George’s kitchen went fully vegan (Delicious, look forward very to further installments) but our left cd deck dying 1 song into Andy’s set, a thankfully false fire alarm (cue Arthur Brown’s Fire Chris you genius) & finishing the rest of our sets off on phones, 1 deck & the skin of our very teeth while everyone danced (almost) oblivious? Wellll, just another Almanac. The words Disco Dunkirk were, respectfully, heard more than once.

Which made it all the lovelier to share it with our gorgeous stalwarts SallieJoeHuw, the increasingly svelte Michelle, our returning &, frankly, Glowing Julie & her gorgeous girls Toxi & Yvonne, Nicki & returned from Brazil Nessa! & Gill & Di, HuwDoug, returned fleetingly from Canada Beefy StephenSam, Ben & Michael, Boris, Jon & Craig, Mark & Catherine (sadly no Doooug), Paul & Leslie, Kate & Kyle, sadly Rhys & Lees were in Rome but we LOVED our Almanac birthday books Thankyou! left with the ever charming & very valiant Charles. & Breathe.
